Maria was born and raised in Cincinnati, OH. She attended Purdue University where she earned aBachelor of Science with a minor in Psychology, graduating with Highest Distinction. She thenattended Miami University (OH) where she earned a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology.
Maria is a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist who has experience working with earlyintervention, Autism Spectrum Disorder, AAC, phonology and articulation, fluency, and feedingdisorders. Additionally, Maria is certified in administering the Autism Diagnostic ObservationSchedule, 2nd Edition (ADOS-2). She is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives ofchildren and their families.
She takes a child-centered, play-based, and evidence-driven approach to therapy, prioritizingstrong, trusting relationships while creating engaging experiences that are meaningful, motivating,and fun. She develops and implements individualized treatment plans grounded in research,incorporates caregiver education to promote carryover, and focuses on functional communicationskills that support each child’s success across home, school, and community settings.
In her free time, Maria enjoys spending time with her husband and dog. If she is not at DisneyWorld, she can typically be found curled up under a fuzzy blanket with a book or her newest crochet project
