Peni Satterfield founded Wee Speak Therapy & Learning Center to give families access to a different kind of therapy experience, one that focuses on real-life needs and strong relationships.
After years of working in early intervention and school-based settings, she saw a consistent gap. Many children either didn’t qualify for services or weren’t getting the level of support they truly needed. Care often focused on meeting school requirements rather than helping children function more easily in everyday life.
Wee Speak was created to fill that gap.
Here, therapy is centered around your child’s daily experiences: how they communicate, move, eat, and interact at home, at school, and in the world around them. We work closely with your family to understand your concerns, guide you toward the right goals, and build skills that make a real difference in your child’s life.

Our mission is to help every child reach their full potential by providing play-based, family-centered therapy that builds meaningful, real-life skills and supports the whole child through a collaborative team approach.
Our Philosophy
We follow your child’s lead during sessions, using play-based interaction to build skills in a way that feels natural and motivating. This allows your child to stay engaged while developing communication, movement, and daily living skills that carry over into everyday life.
At the same time, we work closely with you as the parent. We take your concerns seriously and use them to guide therapy, while also helping you understand which skills will make the biggest difference for your child’s day-to-day life. In some cases, that means shifting the focus from traditional milestones to more functional goals—like helping your child communicate their needs, participate in routines, or interact more comfortably with others.
We believe meaningful progress happens through strong relationships, consistent support, and a therapy experience that is both structured and responsive to each child’s needs.
